Look at the signage on the shelves. Publix is notorious for noting on their tags if there is a Publix coupon available that will offer you savings. This is particularly helpful if an item catches your eye that you didn't initially plan on purchasing.
Pay attention at the checkout. The Publix Promise guarantees that when checking out, if the scanned price of an item exceeds the shelf price or advertised price, Publix will give the customer one of that item for free. In the instance of if you're buying more than one of the same item, Publix will charge the lower price for the remaining items.
Shop in stores. While Publix has partnered with Instacart for delivery, item prices DO ring up higher and there's a delivery fee as well. Curbside pick up is also available for a $1.99 fee and prices have been known to be inflated through that as well. Shopping in store will get you the best prices.

If they are out of a sale item, one will be issued for up to 8 single items, or up to 4 deals, not exceeding 20 items. Even better, if you had a coupon you planned on using during the sale, you can still utilize it (even if it expires before you get to use your rain check) as long as it was valid on the date the rain check was issued.
Check the Publix information center. Every Publix store has an Information Center circular display located near the front door.
